I do a lot of "tourism" translation work for the Mexican government and constantly find the term "Joyas Arqueológicas". I agree with Bea0 that your text seems a little strange and I don't envy you having to that job if it's written like that. To "try" to translate it for you [this will include some guesswork :-)]:
"El país centroamericano posee un rico [ó, abundante] sistema de parques nacionales que incluye joyas como...."
..and ends there for lack of further context.
