English term or phrase: Thank you for the beautiful time together. I love you.
A friend took me out to the beach. It was a beautiful day and he told me he loved me. We kid around, trying to write to each other in Spanish. I thought I would thank him in Spanish and tell him that I love him as well.

Gracias por el agradable tiempo juntos. Te amo.

Explanation:
Beautiful is literally translated as "bello" "hermoso" which I don't think clearly decribe the situation you mention. "Agradable," I feel does that exactly, but you can replace it if you wish.

Hope it helps you.
