there are 3(ish) feet to the metre. Square it and you get 9.
Therefore the factor must be around 9.
Divide 2,600,000 by 9 and you get 288,888.
So the answer must be near 288,888

To be exact, the factor is 10.76 to 2 decimal places.
Therefore the right answer is 2,600,000 divided by 10.76 = 241,636

What happened??

If you look CLOSELY at the conversions on the left, there isn't one for SQUARE feet to SQUARE metres, only from feet to metres, which is why Flavio is out by a factor of three.
