Antes había preguntado como se traduce: "The story of the organization is not a neat and orderly one."
La oración sigue así: "It sprawls, loops , twists and expands in every direction."
Como lo traducen? Se pueden usar estos verbos para referirse a una historia?

Sí, creo qeu estos verbos encajan para describir de forma figurada la falta de claridez y los complicados entresijos que parecen caracterizar a esa organización.

to loop = FORMAR LAZO; SERPENTEAR

No veo problema en usar estos verbos. Lo dicho es en verdad lo que sucede en muchas compañías grandes. La función de los administradores es el tratar de guiar esas tendencias naturales (un tanto caóticas) hacia el logro de unos objetivos determinados.
