I would like to know if it's ok to put consecuencia

I don't know if I should put
castigo o sancion?
Maria
consecuencia
Explanation:
I would leave it as consecuencia, although castigo would also fit. Consecuencia is a perfect translation, and it sounds lighter. Also, they didn't come out and say "punishment" in the original text, so you not want to diverge from their word preference. They may not want it to sound that harsh. :)
