English term or phrase: event horizon
Speaking of black holes: A black hole has an event horizon, which is a region inside of which nothing can escape.
I am editing a translation, and the translator used: horizonte de observación de eventos.
Thanks in advance for any suggestion.

Thanks for a prompt reply.
The translator used the translation provided by Eurocatom, but because of space consideration, I wanted to know if just a shorter version was also OK. Thanks.

horizonte del evento

Explanation:
EXTRACT:

This was the principal reference. If you look under horizone del evento OR horizonte evento, you'll get more.

There seems to be no justification for the addition of 'observación'.

You didn't actually say what your Q was, sio I'm assuming this is what you need to know.
