es un método para tomar la presión arterial. No encuentro ningún dibujo para ver qué es el "tail cuff" del pletismógrafo.

Si! La presión arterial de las ratas y otras especies de laboratorio se mide en la cola (arteria caudal), al igual que en los caballos, bovinos, etc.

Tail cuff es el manguito inflable que en este caso rodea la cola (o rabo), siendo un método no invasivo. En los animales grandes se usa el mismo manguito inflable que se usa para medir la presión arterial en humanos. En los animales de laboratorio, obviamente, se usa uno especial pero es esencialmente lo mismo.
