English to Spanish translations [PRO] Science
English term or phrase:RIDGE PUSH, SLAB PULL
RIDGE PUSH: The process by which an oceanic plate slides down the slope of the lithosphere-asthenosphere boundary.
SLAB PULL: When an oceanic plate collides with a continental plate, the oceanic plate is forced down into the asthenosphere.
Explanation: Ricardo, this is just an educated guess.
Hope someone has some good references for you.
Happy translating ;o)
