1 Visual inspection mechanical seals fore (SB+CL+PS):
2 Visually check whether the mechanical seal leaks or not while shaft is rotating.
3 If the seal leaks, ensure that concerning engine is stopped.
4 Close the lubrication water supply valve (dwg. bbbbbb-360-002-C).
5 Check if the bolts are still tightened at the correct torque.
6 Check and fill-up the 40L water tank of the seals if necessary and open the lubrication water supply valve.
7 Visually check if the leaking is stopped while the propeller shaft is rotating.
8 If the leaking isn't stopped, the seal can be damaged internal.
9 Ask a specialist to check the seal.
10 Check the water level of the sterntube water tanks.
11 If the water level in the 40L water tank is running high, most probably a leak is occurred inside the sterntube or in the aft seals.
