English to Spanish translations [PRO] Sports / Fitness / Recreation / Racing
English term or phrase:Afterburn
Dear ProZ friends,
Please, please help me out! These is a team of racers very similar to Formula 1/IndyCar. They are looking for a good name in Spanish or Italian that reflects the term "Team Afterburn" What would be the best translation to this terms within this racing context?
No way to translate this into Spanish and have a "selling" result! Why not leave in in English? I believe that's atractive enough for Spanish F1/race cars public with no need to translate it and convey a confusing meaning.
Now, don't take my answer seriously. It's just to point out that some names just don't translate well into other languages - "postcombustión" has none of the exciting connotations that "afterburn" has. I think it's necessary to change the name of the team to something semantically similar but not identical. Is that OK?
