English to Spanish translations [PRO] Tech/Engineering
English term or phrase:Wizard, thumbnail, bookmark, distiller, aware
Estos terminos aparecen en una enumeración en un texto de programas de computación.
asistente/ página en miniatutura/ marcador/ destilador/ conciente
Explanation: I think all of these are what you are looking for, but for 'aware' it may depend on the context. Many computer programs have warnings which begin "Are you aware..." In that case the correct translation would be "Tenga en cuenta..."
I recommend downloading the glossaries that can be found at the Microsoft web site. I don't have the URL with me, but they are very usefull.
Explanation: and would like to point you into the right direction. Microsoft has published on the Net a series of glosarries from English into all major languages for their products, including the correct translation to all menu items in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Outlook Express, etc. Take a look at the link below.
Do not translate assistant as ayudante since this is the Microsoft Office Assistant (the little clip, ball, earth, etc.), whereas the wizards are translated as "asistentes".
