Test lead: consuctor de prueba (electricidad) Cable aislado flexible fijado a una punta de prueba; fundamentalmente se emplea para conectar medidores e instrumentos de prueba para monitorear un circuito que se está probando.

En este caso, se advierte no utilizar conductores de prueba sencillos porque aunque determinan la presencia o no de corriente, no la miden.

Sometimes these gadgets are sold under the names "Probe Light". "Test Lamp"."Test Light", etc. They simply consiste of a small ligjht bulb inside a plastic casing, from which protrudes a wire ending on a sharp metal probe. The name probe is used because you need to go checking fuses one by one or sometimes prick thru the insulation of wires to detect the presence of electricity flowing. In Spanish I would use Lámpara de Prueba.
