Windows 2000
Bernabé Rico
Spanish translation:computer jargon in Spanish ...
Explanation:
high-end server cluster= grupo de servidores de alto nivel. A group (cluster) of the most powerful PCs (high-end server)that control a network or set of networks. Server is translated a servidor (usherer).

autoPC= another new term for Network PC, a PC that works almost automatically depending on the Net more than on its operating sytem. It has nos disks, floppies, etc.

Notebook & laptop= Although in English a notebook computer is heavier and thicker than a laptop, in Spanish there are no words that address the difference. Notebook and laptop are "portátiles" However some people use the term ultra-portátiles to refer to laptops, more portable tha portable notebooks.

workstation= estación de trabajo. A faster and more powerful machine than a desktop PC. Usually it is used in engineering and design applications that require extensive math number-crunching.

Thin client= mini-cliente, cliente reducido. Thin client usually refers to software, it is increasingly used for computers, such as network computers and Net PCs, that are designed to serve as the clients for client/server architectures. A thin client is a network computer without a hard disk drive, whereas a fat client includes a disk drive.
