|English term or phrase: land farms|
|The Operating Company Manager is responsible for ensuring that the design, maintenance and monitoring activities of land farms and other in situ treatment methods follow good management practice|
granja, hacienda, finca, rancho, estancia, chacra, cortijo, etc.,
Depending on the size, the country, etc.
Does the document talk about other kinds of farms (mink farms, fish farms, etc.) so that you need to distinguish them from farms where tilling the soil is the principal activity? If not, I would just translate "farm" and ignore "land." I spent many years in farm country and have never heard the expression, but then I have never translated agricultural material to any great extent.
Not much help, am I?
