Tech/Engineering
English term or phrase: stud (verb)
Tema: equipo de comunicación por radio

Contexto:

The "Security" Radio Frequency: We would like to 'stud' our own radios as soon as possible to test them and to listen to existing transmissions and analyse them...

Gracias de antemano.
sapo
Spanish translation:pinchar
Explanation:
Hola. "Quisiéramos pinchar nuestras propias radios cuanto antes para examinarlas y escuchar las transmisiones actuales para su análisis". "Pinchar las comunicaciones" o "pinchar la línea telefónica", something quite illegal unless it's the government/cops doing it or yourself doing it on something that's yours as it's the case here. Awful syntax, basically they're going to see what the matter is going on with those radios. Good luck :)

Hola. Paul: estoy en América Latina y aquí lo de 'pinchar' no se usa en ese sentido, pero gracias a tu explicación entendí que lo que pretendían era interceptar sus propias frecuencias de radio. Awful syntax además: tienes toda la razón. Gracias a todos por sus respuestas.
