English to Spanish translations [Non-PRO] Tech/Engineering
English term or phrase:urethane bumpers
The text to be translated says,
Therefore to be sold on urethane bumbers or foam insulation, the industry must also be sold on the technology.
I cannot figure out the meaning "to be sold ON..."
Explanation: "To be sold on" in this context means that in order for urathane bumpers or foam isulation to be accepted or embraced by the industry it must also accept, have a positive outlook, first be convinced of, or be'sold on' the technology.
Something like this:
Para que la industria acepte las defensas de Uretano y aislante de (tipo) espuma, es preciso que también acepte la tecnología.
I hope this explenation doesn't totally confuse you but gives you a better grasp on the paragraph.(which is what it's meant to do).
Explanation: This means that in order to sell the bumpers, the firm must also sell its technological quality.
The bumpers will be sold ONLY IF the business can prove the quality of its technology.
