correo electrónico tipo spam

Explanation:
" 'Spam' ... es la palabra que se utiliza para calificar el correo no solicitado enviado por Internet." [encontrado en un artículo en el Internet--!por supuesto!] Encontré 2,040 páginas en español que incluyen "spam", por medio de Alta Vista, así que, me parece bastante comprobado que es la palabra apropiada.

correo chatarra or correo electrónico chatarra

Explanation:
Sounds to me like the best option, and you may follow it with spam in parentheticals. I ran a search in Yahoo Mexico for "spam" and found many pages with the word, just that most of them had a Spanish translation and then the word spam in parentheticals or quotes. Take a look at the link below containing an article by a Peruvian author

"envío masivo, no solicitado"

Explanation:
Spam: (bombardeo publicitario, *buzonfia*) Envío masivo, indiscriminado y no solicitado de publicidad a través de correo electrónico. Literalmente quiere decir "loncha de mortadela". Ver también: "junk mail", "mail bombing". This is per URL mentioned below.

Correo no solicitado

Explanation:
El "spam" es ese tipo de correos que recibimos de terceros cuyo contenido principal es publicitario. Esta práctica es ilegal y puede incluso denunciarse en Internet.

Correo basura

Explanation:
"Correo basura" is the usual translation in Spain. The answer "correo chatarra" would be inappropiate in a Spanish (Spain) context. "Spam" is also frequently used, so you can use both for clarification: "correo basura (spam)".

I just found this on a cyber-lexicon online dictionary

Explanation:
Spam/Spammer

El conocido "bombardeo" de correos electrónicos. Mandar grandes cantidades de correo o mensajes muy largos a una determinada persona con el fin de congestionar su cuenta para simplemente molestarlo o como respuesta a una agresión en línea.

Publicidad no solicitada que llega por correo electrónico

Explanation:
I think you have to explain instead of translating, because these words are not translated at all, everyone knows what you mean when you say "e-mail" or "spamming" .

correo chatarra o basura

Explanation:
I would agree you can use the word spam, but it´s better to use correo basura, it´s like normal unsolicited mail.
