No sería que los sistemas actúen por purga, sino porque se auto-purgarian a sí mismos.

Si no, poco sentido tendría hablar de un 70% de ahorro de agua.

Es decir, que al purgarse de forma automática (y controlada, es de suponer), van purgándose de aire (como sucede con los radiadores, con la calefacción), y sin grandes pérdidas de agua.

Cuando no purgas de aire un sistema de calefacción, el aire va acumulándose en el interior de las tuberías (es un proceso "natural", es decir, no es un defecto).

Lo que sucedería si no se purgasen con regularidad es que se necesitaría más agua para limpiar lo mismo, porque el aire acumulado interfiere con el flujo de agua.

...en mi humilde opinión de arregla-lo-todo casero.
