"Spar" (aquí) no tiene nada que ver con los palos, boyas, vigas, largueros.... 2.Spar: A single buoy mooring which includes oil storage capacity so that production can continue even if the weather is too severe for tanker loading. http://www.petroleum.co.uk/dsglos.htm buoy (aquí) = flotante 3. CSO Aker Maritime, Inc. will be responsible for the engineering, procurement, fabrication and delivery of the complete hulls and mooring systems. The program contract calls for the first SPAR delivery in 2003. The contract arrangement includes options for delivery of additional hulls and mooring systems for BP operated deepwater prospects in the Gulf of Mexico in water depths ranging from 1,220 to 1,830m (4,000 to 6,000 feet). Option for additional SPARs are to be exercised in line with BP's operational requirements.
