English to Spanish translations [PRO] Tech/Engineering
English term or phrase:minicomposite heads
Data integrity is ensured with standard minicomposite heads engineered to Informatix's exacting standards.
The device in a magnetic disk or tape drive that enables it to read data from and write data to the disk or tape. Inside the head are one or two small coils through which electric current can pass. When the head writes data to the disk or tape, current passes through the coils toward the magnetic fields on the disk or tape and causes the magnetic particles directly beneath the head to align either north-south or south-north. When the head reads the data, the magnetic particles directly beneath the head send a current back through the coils that is to be translated into binary code. The direction in which the particles are aligned determines whether the bit will have a value of 0 or 1.

Explanation: The minicomposite is an one-way model composite. It is made up d’un wire (or matches) in which l’interphase then the matrix were infiltrated. For example, a wire Hi-Nicalon TM contains 500 unit and continuous fibres.
The minicomposite represents on a lower scale the real composite; d’une simpler architecture, it allows d’en to approach the behavior and in particular to determine the properties of l’interphase. It has l’avantage to be able to be obtained easily in engines of modest size with the same conditions d.elaboration CVI as for a real composite.

Explanation: I could find no reference in Spanish to this word, but I suggest to leave untranslated based on the following circumstancial evidence:
a) the obviously related "composite" is used untranslated, for instance in: www.maxillaris.com/200006/novedades.html
