Lamentablemente no hay mucho contexto:
"Apply shorting jumpers at the following locations: Batt Sw - BTP", etc, etc.

Se trata de procedimientos eléctricos. Estoy traduciendo "jumpers" como "uniones en puente", así es que más bien necesito ayuda con el adjetivo shorting. El verbo "to short" en este contexto es "poner en cortocircuito". sería algo como "uniones de puente para cortocircuito"? o Uniones de puente en cortocircuito?

Como diría alguien por ahí, me cachis en los mengues! :-)

there seems to be no problem with the "puente" bit

on the other hand the "shorting" could be just that perverse trick of languages where they reverse what you'd expect. I said "could"!
