English to Spanish translations [Non-PRO] Tech/Engineering
is a company which makes and repairs machinery for extruding plastics, and refers specifically to repairing extrusion screws by adding new metal to worn flights - and uses the word "filete".
"También ofrecemos la reconstrucción de los tornillos mediante el aporte de una aleación especial sobre el filete del tornillo, llevandolos a su diámetro original."
And now that I come to think of it, is it pure coincidence that "filete" and "flight" sound somewhat similar?? After all the first automatic screw-making machinery (a vital invention for mass-production) was invented by the British (in English!)
