English term or phrase: cellular or wireless telephone or service
This is my second try at this. Sorry. How do I say "wireless telephone" or "cellular telephone" and "wireless telephone service" or "cellular telephone service" in connection with services like the ones offered by Verizon, Cingular, Sprint PCS etc in the Latin American market versus the European/Spainish market? I do not mean cordless telephones like those lower powered devices used within a home, but the ones you would use throughout a city, state or country instead of getting on a wired or coin-operated pay telephone. Muchisimas gracias.

Explanation:
Hi there!
Wireless phone = radioteléfono (not the same as a cordless phone)
cellular phone = teléfono celular.

But..be careful:-) they are NOT the same thing.

I would suggest "servicios de radiotelefonía" and "servicios de telefonía celular".

Hope this helps:-)

telefonía móvil / radiotelefonía

Explanation:
Dear Anonymous,

"services" is implied within the suffix "ía", so you can use these as a language economy resource :)

By the way, this is a version for Spain, as Centos pointed out (though it's Móvil, not Móbil :) --- And of course as Terry pointed out, wireless is different than Cordless :)

Hope this helps :)

Best wishes, Flavio

Suggestion:

Explanation:
In Argentina a "wireless telephone" is a "teléfono celular o móvil"
The "wireless telephone service" or "cellular telephone service" is called "servicio de telefonía celular".
I hope it helps!
