"break time" = tiempo de interrupción (o "tiempo de corte", según EutoDicautom)

"break time" es lo contrario de "make time", que significa tiempo de conexión.

Creo que "tiempo de interrupción" se adapta a tu conrexto - puede ser el tiempo de interrupción de una señal, línea, etc.
