José, lo que me encontré está de risa loca y necesita un poco más de trabajo. Si me das más contexto quizá lo podamos aterrizar. Por lo pronto, el Webster's Third New Intn'l Dictionary dice lo siguiente al respecto de boattail: the part of an artillery projectile in the rear of a rotating band when shaped like the inverted frustum of a cone. Por su parte, clamshell depende mucho del contexto, como verás: an object or esp. a piece of equipment or apparatus resembling or having a part that resembles a clam or the valves of a clam (as in mechanical operation): a a: a bucket or grapple (as on a crane, dredge or shovel) having two hinged jaws B: either of a pair of doors in the nose or tail of an airplane that open outward and away from each other when loading or unloading (clamshell cargo doors). Como ves, depende muchísimo del contexto. En cuanto a stringer, de nuevo la cuestión del contexto. Entre otras definiciones está la de: a longitudinal member in any of various kinds of construction.
Suerte y ojalá te sirva,
