English to Spanish translations [Non-PRO] Tech/Engineering
English term or phrase:trough
The lower section (2) of the XXX housing contains the neutron source compartment with lockable access covers on both sides of the housing. It also contains neutron and gamma ray moderators as well as biological radiation shielding material consisting of dry polyethylene and borated powder mix. The upper surface is shaped as a 45-degree trough lined with UHMW plates to form a low friction slider bed for the conveyor belt.
No puedo decidirme por una de las traducciones de TROUGH que me da el diccionario.
Explanation: I would consider canal or canalete (or possibly zanja in a pinch) de 45 grados because from the descritpion it would seemm that it´s a gutter type metal catcher with 45 degree angled sides, especially since the text mentions that it´s lined, this woud suppose "sides"
