Medical - Zoology / Zoology
English term or phrase: smothering
A two-factor analysis of variance test (ANOVA) was used to determine trends in colonisation of meiofauna individuals in the neutralised and un-neutralised tailing compared to control sediments as well as the effects of smothering (i.e., one thick deposition (15-2 treatments) compared to multiple layers of thin deposition (15-10 treatments) as described in Section 2.3.2)

Spanish translation:colmar
Explanation:
Suerte.

"tupir"

Explanation:
I would use "tupir" which means to pack tightly or lay it on heavily instead of "smother" which means to sofocate.
