The context is patient instructions for a clinical trial using drug delivery pumps and infusion sets. If the patient suspects that the infusion set is occluded, they should remove the infusion set and then:

"To make sure this is really occluded, you will perform a hair shot of your medicine and look at the flow of the medicine in the infusion set: if the medicine is blocked, there is an occlusion which is confirmed. "

Tack, jag tror att du har rätt i "air" men snarare att man skall injicera en luftbubbla för att se om den rör sig - infusionssatsen är ju uttagen. Meningen blir oerhört konstig med "an air shot of insulin", men när jag ställde frågan på eng>eng var det många som påpekade att det är usel engelska.
