English to Swedish translations [Non-PRO]
English term or phrase: Good afternoon darling. Fare thee well?
I want to send this message to my Swedish girlfriend Ingela, but I don't know a word of Swedish!! She often quotes Olde English phrases to me, so I would like to do the same if there is an old literary style in Swedish.

God middag min älskling. Hur står det till?

Explanation:
Or: God middag älskling. Hur mår du?

I think "Hur står det till?" is more 'old-gashioned' though.

Godh middag, käresta. Blifver du vidh godh välmågo?

Explanation:
This is some real old swedish that guaranteed will give her, besides a smile, something to think about.

The message is the same, but spelling and grammatics is old swedish. I've done some "cut and paste" from the Runeberg project.

If you don't have access to swedish characters, use ae for ä.

Good Luck!
