BIND stands for "Berkeley Internet Name Domain".
Implementation of a DNS server developed and distributed by the University of California at Berkeley. Many Internet hosts run BIND and it is the ancestor of many commercial BIND implementations.
In computer programming "to bind" is to make an association between two or more programming objects or value items for some scope of time and place.
"bind" should be treated as a proper noun, i.e. NOT TRANSLATED.
