Tagalog translation:pagkulingling/pagpapantig/pagtaginting sa tainga
Explanation:
Believe it or not, even ringing in the ears (tinnitus) is known in several variations in Tagalog.

If it is a slight annoyance, it's called "pagkukulingling". Your garden-variety ringing of the ears, especially upon the onset of a cold.

If it's rather painful, it's "pagpapantig" (this is already classified as tinnitus). Talk about ringing of the ears with an accompanying throbbing sensation.

If it's really excruciating, it's called
"pagtaginting". This is when hearing becomes temporarily or permanently impaired due to infection or structural damage to the ear.

Hope this helps...!
