English to Turkish translations [Non-PRO]
English term or phrase: COFFEE
BEVERAGE
beth
Turkish translation:kahve/türk kahvesi/neskafe/hazır kahve
Explanation:
It depends on the context. In fact coffee is kahve and turkish coffee is türk kahvesi. Etymologically the origin is Arabic qahwah > Turkish kahve> Italian caffè> English coffee. Presently when you go to a cafe in Turkey (in Istanbul or Ankara)and ask for a coffee they would serve a coffee not turkish coffee; and if you want Turkish coffee they would ask for the amount of sugar in it.
