Food & Drink
English term or phrase: "free refills", "no refills" in Vietnamese
"free refills", "no refills"
referring to beverages in a restaurant

i was suggested:
no refills: "không cho ãn thêm" or "chỉ ãn một lần". Which of the 2 is better?
free refills: "ãn thêm miễn phí"

Do they seem natural in Vietnamese?

miễn phí thức uống and thức uống không được miễn
Explanation:
since it refers to beverages so it should be"thức uống" not "ăn"

In order to avoid misunderstandings, we can use these expressions \"uống thêm sẽ được miễn phí\" and \"uống thêm phải trả tiền\"

disagree  proviet: This is wrong in a sense that the term "mien phi" is understood to be "free" but the drink is not free. I would suggest "co' the^m thu*'c uo^'ng" and "kho^ng co' the^m thu*'c uo^'ng" because you have to pay for the drink first to have "refill"/"no fill"

-> the terms should be used in a particular context that you may have drunk something and you must pay for it and then you could be offered more of drink for free (thêm & miễn phí). your suggested terms are reasonable but do not sound naturally

disagree  SONYTRAN: If you guys have never been in USA , you can not answer this question because only Mc Donald ( fastfood reastaurant) in USA offers as much soft drink (coke, sprite etc)you can drink after you have paid for the first drink that come with your meal order.

-> Until now, I think I have mistranslated these terms. I am so sorry for this and I am wondering what I need to do next...May I suggest: thức uống rót thêm (không) được miễn phí. What do you think about it?
