English to Vietnamese translations [PRO]
English term or phrase: My Dentist (male and female)
Do you say "my dentist" the same way regardless of gender? Can the term be emailed if the end receiver does not have Vietnamese software? Thank you!
TRANSLEX International, Inc.
Vietnamese translation:Nha si cua toi
Explanation:
In Vietnamese, words like this have no gender specification. The translation here still lacks tonal signs. It should look something like: Nha si~ cu?a to^i. If you can email me and let me know what type of Vietnamese typeface you use, I can send you this term in Vietnamese with that type of font. (gaup@princeton.edu)

Without Vietnamese types installed on your computer, it will not be possible to read Vietnamese, including terms like this one. What one can do is to save documents files with embedded fonts. I can send you also a pdf file of this terms.

Regards,

Gau

Nha si cua toi

Explanation:
It is possible to email the term and have it understood by a Vietnamese speaking reader even though the diacritic and tone markers are absent. This is often done between Vietnamese people.
I have emailed you a small .jpg file seperately which has the correct diacritic and tone markers.

Shane Wall

Nha Si Cua Toi (Nam hoac Nu)

Explanation:
Again there are hats and hooks that cannot be added here. There is a "~" on top of "i" in Si, and there is also a hat "^" on top od "o" in Toi.
