English term or phrase: If rocks could talk, they'd speak Welsh.

One of my friends inexplicably decided that rocks can speak Welsh, therefore he asked me to translate this phrase for a cross stitch pattern. I really need a translation check, because I've been teaching myself Welsh for about a week. I have absolutely no idea what this would fall under for the category, so I apologize in advance if another field would be better suited.

What I have is as follows:
Mi fasen creigiau yn clebrau, cymraeg fasen nhw llefaru.

For the first clause, I'd prefer a verb-initial construction, but for the second clause, I'd prefer an object-initial construct. Either dialect (Northern or Southern) is fine, Thanks.

Explanation:
What you've already got is ungrammatical, sorry. Clebran means chatter so would be OK. This is a bit more classical. If you preferred you could say 'os gallai creigiau glebran, bydden nhw'n siarad Cymraeg
