Metsäneuvos Explanation: The Finnish title is metsäneuvos. Eg at the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry we have a counsellor like that, so he is a civil servant, ie a government official. At the ministry there are the following titles: a minister, chief secretary, head of department, and then various units. Metsäneuvos is a head of a unit. Usually he is not called Counsellor of Forest Economy, but Senior Forestry Advisor is a preferable title, as counsellors mostly work for the Foreign Ministry. It's complicated, but I hope this helps you understand the title. |
