Hello,

For a regular house or apartment (rather than a mansion/château), would all three of these terms be best translated as simply "living room"?

I think maybe a distinction could be made in terms of register; 'lounge' to my mind is slightly more 'posh' than 'living room', and so personally I would translate 'salon' as 'lounge' and the other two terms as 'living room'.
