"The Eight Parts of Speech"

From the first web site below: "Diomedes, a Latin grammarian who flourished a the end of the fourth century A.D., is the author of an extant Ars Grammatica in three books.... Diomedes wrote about the same time as Charisius and used the same sources independently. The works of both grammarians are valuable, but whereas much of Charisius has been lost, the Ars [of Diomedes] has come down to us complete. In Book One he treats of the eight parts of speech (De octo partibus orationis)… (Encyc. Brit. 11th ed. vol. 8 p.283)..."

and, from the second web site: "c.1430-1450: Johann Gutenberg designs a printing press and movable type, which he uses to print a Latin text book called _De octo partibus orationis_ in 1448."
