This term is nowhere on GDT, EuroDicAutom, the ProZ.com glossaries, as far as I can tell, and is too specific to appear on the automotive terminology glossaries I have. I did a Google search and there are a few hits but all in French, none that would give me an indication of an equivalent English term, also the hits I got do not seem to give me an idea of what this means in an automotive sense, unless there is something I am not seeing. This seems to be a made up word of sorts, obviously it being in quotes in each instance, so I'm at a loss for how to translate it and would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.

Explanation:
The hits for the same term on Google are apparently used in a different context. I was wondering whether '..oscope' might make this a 'visual safety device' or 'visual safety system', but it seems to me that you need to go back to your client to find out exactly what it is they're referring to.
