[cold] pressing-cladding Explanation: It seems you are dealing with metal forming so cold pressing should do. I am not so confident with cladding although cladding is one of the terms used. You need more information about the process used because of the many different cladding methods. Iron electrodeposit is another way of applying "ferrage" -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2 heures (2007-07-30 12:10:05 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- further to your note, it seems Heuliez France sends some kind of prefabricated templates (or ossatures) for the rear seat (and back rest). The problem here is that they are using the name of two manufacturing processes (emboutissage and ferrage) to designate the resulting part of these processes. I understand that you've picked this up |

comment Explanation: Not sure that it is relevant here, but note the mean of "emboutissage" and "ferrage" in the automotive context: (from my notes) Ferrage Body assembly. Often refers to the place of such activity, i.e. the body-in-white assembly shop. Other "shops" in the process are the press shop (EMBOUTISSAGE), aka stamping shop, paint shop (peinture), and trim and final assembly shop (montage) If this is applicable, it is strange that they should say "ET automobile". Unless maybe it should read "EN automobile", and the 3 activities are: 1 - projets R&D, 2 - emboutissage 3 - ferrage |
