décharge de propriété

French to English translations [PRO]
Bus/Financial - Automotive / Cars & Trucks / sale of vehicle
French term or phrase: décharge de propriété
If this term had appeared on its own, I would be fairly confident in selecting 'transfer of ownership' (or perhaps 'release from ownership') as the translation.

However, it appears alongside two other conditions for the transfer of a vehicle, giving us:
- procès-verbal de prise en charge du véhicule
- certificat de cession
- décharge de propriété

I would therefore appreciate your help in narrowing down the precise meaning of the last term.

Thank you.

disagree  Daryo: what would you need any "certificat de cession" for in that case? + the legal system of a (/any) EN speaking country is irrelevant - this is happening under the legal system of some FR speaking country.
