French term or phrase: encours vivants
Description of a management mandate; explanation of types of investments. France.

"L'investissement significatif est defini comme un ensemble de creances sur un emetteur (ou un Groupe au sens de la consolidation comptable) d'un montant 1) soit superieur a 50 M$ b) soit superieur a 20 M$ et representant plus de 17.5% des encours vivants de l'emission en question"

of the undistressed credit obligations of the issue
Explanation:
The emission here are BONDS, right?
Bonds represent loans by a company to BONDHOLDERS.
Ergo, a DEBT.or LOAN..or CREDIT OBLIGATION
an encours for a bond..is the credit obligation....it
s confusing because encours sounds like a THING or ITEM when in fact, it's amount outstanding OVERALL...

They are saying they want to own at least 17.5% of the credit obligation represented by the BOND [debt].

I think that by VIVANT...they mean a loan that is performing well. Rather than a Non-performing loan. A loan that is NOT distressed..

they are not holding percentages of JUNK BONDS or DISTRESSED BONDS..It seems to me that they want to slip in this idea that they are only dealing with undistressed debt obligations....

ughh...this was not easy to figure out..

HTH..cheers Stephanie
