French term or phrase: CG
These two letters appear at the very end of the main section of a French marriage certificate. I'm not sure if it's an official's initials, the initials of someone's position, or something else.

neutral  Thomas T. Frost: A conseil général is not involved in a wedding in France, so why should it be mentioned here? The mairies are responsible for weddings. The site you linked to is a private site not related to any public service.
