French term or phrase: le brushing épingle
From a hairdresser's description of how to make hair wavy:

It's briefly mentioned again further on:

I know "épingle" is a hairpin and "le brushing" is to create waves using a round brush and a hair dryer (according to Wikipedia), but what is "le brushing épingle"? Is it an actual thing in itself, or does it just mean to perform "le brushing" (and if so why are they talking about a curling iron?) with the added use of hairpins?

Any ideas would be appreciated with thanks in advance.

pin curls

Explanation:
I think it could be a way of fixing curls with pins in order to better keep them in shape. Please take a look at the link below.

ceramic barrel curling brush

Explanation:
Hi,

I'm pretty sure they are talking about a ceramic barrel curling brush, although it sounds pretty clumsy in English compared to French.

Asker: Use of a tool like that would satisfy "le brushing" requirement. Maybe it's just also called a curling iron and it's understood to be a brush-type by the use of "le brushing".... thank you, I can work with this.
