Explanation:
It looks very much like a very poor translation of "shot-fired", the technique sometimes referred to as "pisto-scellement", referring to fixings aka explosive studs etc. embedded in steel or concrete by being fired by explosive charges in a stud gun, Hilti gun, cartridge tool, powder activated tool, etc.

Sorry, when I said "Wherever is this from?", I meant not "What is the context?" but "Which country is this from?". "Chassé par balle" strikes me as very odd indeed.

Asker: Still involved with my cold room... which is making me hot... This is in that same section where all these interesting words arise... Fixations - Les éléments de suspension sont fixés uniquement au gros-oeuvre (dalles et poutres en béton, coulées sur place et/ou préfabriquées en usine). - Les fixations dans le béton et dans la maçonnerie sont faites au moyen d'ancrages métalliques expansibles et autotaraudeurs, taillés en queue d'aronde avec une double protection contre la rouille. L'utilisation de chevilles en matière plastique ou de points chassés par balle est interdite. - L'Entrepreneur prévoit ses propres pontages à l'endroit des équipements techniques pour lui permettre de poser les suspentes verticalement. - Le maître d’ouvrage peut demander à l'Entrepreneur sur chantier d’effectuer un essai de traction sur 10 ancrages. Les ancrages représentent un coefficient de sécurité d'au moins trois par rapport aux charges réelles appliquées.

agree  Raymonde Gagnier: Yes, shooting them in the structure might compromise the tightness of the cold room...

  -> Also, I think, their reliability cannot be guaranteed (they might hit something, bend and end up diagonal, etc., i.e. not so well anchored). They are a quick fix, generally OK but not as reliable as when you know you've drilled to a given depth, etc..
