French to English translations [Non-PRO]
Tech/Engineering - General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters / Energy / Power Generation
French term or phrase: consensus
I am having trouble with this sentence:

Aujourd’hui, le consensus est fort quant à la nécessité de développer et de promouvoir des sources alternatives d’énergie, ce qui accroît la légitimité des énergies renouvelables.

For the first part I started with:
A growing consensus now views....
But I don't know how to put it.
I usually translate technical documents, this is a technical presentation however, this sentence and another are a problem for me.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
