French to English translations [PRO]
Medical - General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters / Qualifications printed on doctor\'s letter (Tunisian)
French term or phrase: Diplômé en .....
At the top of letter it says
Diplômé en Nutrition de l'obésité
Diplômé en Entretien motivationnel
Diplômé en Tabacologie
Diplômé en Diabétologie

Is it likely that a doctor would have a Degree in all four specialisms?

Or should I translated 'Specialist in .....' for each?

Many thanks

PG Diploma
Explanation:
There seem to be a range of courses here, some of which count as CPD, therefore presumably PG

This was one of the first answers I received, which is always a bonus. Several later replies concur with it in practice, and it provided links backing up the answer.

agree  philgoddard: I wouldn't abbreviate it, though. Otherwise the reader has to pause for a moment and work out what it means.

Explanation:
This is how we would say it in the US. "Diploma" here is almost universally reserved for the fundamental milestones of education (high school diploma, university diploma [BA/BS]). Shorter courses that do not result in a BA/BS, master's degree, doctoral degree or equivalent (e.g. MD/medicine, JD/law) are usually called certifications, certificate programs or the like.

For instance: Graduate Certificates https://www.extension.harvard.edu/academics/graduate-certifi...

Medical/healthcare certification programs: https://study.com/article_directory/q_p/page/Medical and Hea...

Certification programs through which doctors and other healthcare professionals can become certified in medical acupuncture: http://www.dabma.org/programs.asp

Degree in

Explanation:
'Diplômé en...' seeming pretty general, I think that just 'Degree in...' would do the trick
