French term or phrase: optique
Can someone shed some light on what "optique" means in this context? Is it just a way of saying a "souscription assurance vie" is what the client is planning on doing? This is in a document describing a financial institution's investor profile tool.

Il ne sera pas possible de créer un projet d’investissement assurance vie (contrat de capitalisation) si le régime matrimonial n’est pas renseigné et si (condition cumulative) la situation familiale est renseignée à ‘Vie maritale’ ou ‘Inconnue’.
Le régime matrimonial et la situation familiale doivent être obligatoirement renseignés dans une optique de souscription assurance vie.

Thank you!

Explanation:
Yes this simply means if you are looking to take out an assurance vie then the régime matrimonial et la situation familiale is mandatory information.

In this sense optique = viewpoint / perspective / with a view to / looking to or at ...

Yes for this sort of context I'd stick fairly close to the French: Marital status and family status must be completed when looking to subscribe to ...
Be careful with *assurance vie* which is basically a saving or investment plan rather than life insurance in the UK sense of the term. Life insurance in French is an *assurance décès*

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thank you! That was my thought as well... in an investment context, how do you think that sentence might be phrase? "The marital status and family status must be filled in when looking to purchase a life insurance contract"?

Asker: Thanks again, Jane! You are really helping me out tonight. And that information about assurance vie/assurance décès is new to me and quite useful. I really appreciate it!
