se porte fort guarantees (lit: 'goes surety for') Explanation: "Se porter fort" has a similar meaning to 'se porter garant' (see Petit Robert). F H S Bridge's Legal Dictionary suggests "undertake to ensure that a third party does something" and refers to a "porte-fort" as a 'person who guarantees that another will do a specific thing". In this context, the Supplier waives the right in question and guarantees that the whole chain of suppliers will waive the right also (in other words, if they don't, the Supplier will bear the consequences). |
