French term

NOR

French to English Law/Patents Law (general)
Hello. The reason that I have posted these two abbreviations together is that they are in the same section of the same document and inextricably linked to each other. They refer to some sort of filing or classificaiton system used for entries in the Official Gazette in France, but I am unable to find a definitive meaning or explanation for the abbreviations. Any help would be very gratefully received.
These two abbreviations always apepar at the top of publications in the B.O [French official gazette], followed by the corresponding codes or reference numbers.:
NOR: XXXXX
RLR: XXXX
For obvious reasons (confidentiality!), I cannot provide the codes numbers, but in any case they are not really relevant, as they will not help anyone answering to ascertain the meaning of the abbreviations.
Thanks in advance :)

Standardized Numbering System [Reference]

NOR is a numbering system used to generate a reference for each new law/decree/article, etc. at the time of official publication.

You need to include reference in your translation to maintain the concept of an individual identifier for the law/decree/article being published and thus avoid confusion with the NOR system itself.

Since there is no exact equivalent for NOR in English, you could/should keep it as "NOR" in the translation and either provide a context reference beside it in [brackets] or use an asterisk and put the explanatory translation at the bottom of the page.

What's NOR
